No, it’s not possible that we love because we can’t see.

These feelings — infatuation, “falling,” head over heels, etc — are valid. But they are not love.

The vast majority of us, unfortunately, maintain this very viewpoint of love (a condition of “falling,” etc), which means many of us never get to experience mature and real love, which is always based on seeing and understanding.
